September Favourites 2015

First of all I want to apologise for being super late on the favourites. I have just started uni this year and trying to organise my workload has made me realise that uni is slowly taking over my life! I am aiming to upload one post a week so please do keep checking in! This September I have really been enjoying drugstore beauty items and skin care.

Soap & Glory Solar Powder Bronzer

As you can see the Solar Powder comes with two shades a light and a darker brown, both of the shades have a slight shimmer but it’s really not noticeable at all. This is perfect for my olive skin, I swirl my brush in both the colours and just contour my cheeks. I must say this bronzer is very natural which I like, perfect for Autumn as I don’t know about you guys but I like to let my skin breathe and wear light make-up during this month.

L’Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes

I absolutely LOVE this product!! It definitely gives my small straight lashes volume and curl to the point where friends and family ask me if I am wearing fake eyelashes. I have tried a lot of mascara’s both high street and drug store and by far this is becoming my favourite. The wand works perfectly in separating the lashes and the best thing is no clumping. I have worn this mascara for over 10 hours and my curl was still in place with no smudging. I would definitely recommend this mascara to all the girls who just can’t get their eyelashes to curl.

L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche Matte Lipstick (640)

This has got to be in my top five favourite lipsticks, it is the perfect pinky nude for me. I just haven’t been able to put it down, I have worn in nearly every single day in September. It is a nice matte finish and does not dry out the lips which is perfect!

L’Oreal Le Blush  (Peach)

I bought this blush a while ago when I was away for the week and I forgot to bring my blusher so I headed of to the nearest Boots and picked this up and I must say I like it. It comes with a little brush, however I just prefer using my own. This blusher is pigmented so a little goes a long way and it adds a natural glow to your cheeks.

Nyx Blush (Pinched)

Another blush that I have been loving this month is the Nyx blush. This is my first beauty item I have picked up from Nyx and so far I am impressed.  I love blushers they would be a staple item that I cannot live without. I would describe this blush as a coral pink with gold iridescence, this is  very pigmented  and I need to apply the tinest amount for a subtle glow, however if too much is applied it can look very bright. As described it has a hint of shimmer in it which I don’t really mind too much.

The Body Shop Vitamin C Glow Boosting Moisturiser

Out of all my favourites this is by far my favourite one! What I love about this moisturiser is that it is lightweight and gives your skin a nice glow. My skin was looking dull and tired so I thought why not try this and I am so glad I did, it literally gives you fresh bright looking skin and is a perfect base under your make-up for a luminous glow. If you are a fan of Origins GinZing Moisturiser and find the price tag a little pricey then I would recommend you to invest in this.

What are your favourites this month?

Thanks for reading! xx

  1. I’ve wanted to try the body shop one for ages but wasn’t sure whether it was worth it. I’ll have to pick it up sometime! I have that mascara and I love it! Xxx
